Privacy notice.
This notice explains what happens to the information you share when you enquire about Marcello’s private chef services.
Who controls your data
Marcello Ghiretti is the data controller for enquiries submitted through this website. You can make a privacy request by emailing marcelloghiretti@icloud.com.
What is collected
The enquiry form may collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, preferred date, guest count, occasion and the information you choose to include in your message.
Why it is used
Your information is used only to acknowledge and respond to your enquiry, discuss a potential booking and provide the service you request. An automatic confirmation with a copy of the details you submitted is sent to your email address. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and, where relevant, legitimate interests in managing enquiries.
How long it is kept
Unsuccessful enquiries should normally be deleted within 12 months. Booking and transaction records may be retained for longer where required for legal, tax or accounting purposes.
Sharing and security
Information is not sold. It may be handled by the website host and email provider where needed to deliver and respond to the enquiry. A copy of each website enquiry is also sent to Netmilk, the website’s technical provider in Switzerland, for delivery testing and technical support. Reasonable technical and organisational measures are used to protect it.
If you choose the WhatsApp contact button, WhatsApp opens with Marcello’s number and a suggested message. Nothing is sent until you choose to send it in WhatsApp. Your use of that service is also subject to WhatsApp’s own privacy terms.
Analytics and storage
The Google tag is present when the page loads with analytics storage denied by default. Until you select “Accept analytics”, Google Analytics does not store or read analytics cookies, although Google may receive cookieless consent and measurement signals. When accepted, the tag may use analytics cookies and process technical and usage information to help measure how the website is used. Advertising storage and personalisation remain disabled.
You can withdraw or change your choice at any time. Withdrawing consent returns analytics storage to denied and removes the known Google Analytics cookies from this site.
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information, or object to its use. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Video
The short kitchen films are served directly from this website and do not connect to a third-party video platform.
